Have you had these thoughts?
- Every book I refer to gives conflicting information on Akshara, Maatra and Gathi.
- My dance notes are messy because I don't know how to write them according to Taala.
- I'm good at dance, but my fundamentals in rhythm are not strong.
- I think I know this, but I'm not able to teach my students perfectly.
- It is scary to discuss rhythm with other dancers and percussionists.
Give yourself 2.5 hours to work through these fundamentals with clarity.
About the Workshop
“The strength of a building depends on the strength of its foundation.”
Just as a dancer works towards Anga Shuddhi, journeying towards Tala Shuddhi is equally essential.
This is a safe space where no question is too basic, no doubt is too small, and no learner is expected to know everything before they walk in.
We will revisit the fundamentals, address doubts, and work towards building a clearer, stronger understanding of rhythm, one step at a time.
